The dvd player on my computer will only play svcds, vcds and cds.If I try to play a dvd on it, the play back is juddery including the audio. This occurred after ripping a dvd to a svcd. Has anyone any ideas how to correct this for me? Ive tried all the ideas on the Help section of windows XP. The only thing that does work is formatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows XP. I would be greatful for any supportive advice. Thankyou
