I have a Hitachi DVD-ROM GD-2500
I got it with my computer. I also recieved a copy of PowerDVD with it. I have since put my DVD into a computer that has Win ME as it's OS. My old computer had Win 98.
The version of PowerDVD I had didn't work with Win ME.
I have tried downloading FreeDVD as I was told it was a DVD decoder. I know it is not very good but it's better than nothing. However when I try to play a DVD on it, it tells me I need a DVD decoder. I am confused and cannot find any info to explain this.
Can anyone help me to play DVD's without spending upwards of $50 US.

I sure can
if all you want to do is to play the DVD on your computer, go to download.com and do a search for a DVD player, if you want to convert the DVD's to a DivX or a VCD add me to your msn, at possy_BOT@Hotmail.com, and I'll help you further
