Hi all, sorry if its been asked before (or if I'm in the wrong forum), I did a search and couldn't find the answer to my query.
I am trying to make a back up copy of Fifa World Cup 2006 following the instructions I've found here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/265223
1)I've decrypted it,
2)I've run ISO buster on it,
3)then the CD/DVD Rom generator part,
Now I'm stuck on step 4) where it tells me to import it into Apache2 to build the ISO.
The problem is I haven't got Apache2 and the link at the top of the page is dead so I can't go any further.
Can anybody provide a link to a site where I can download it or is there any other program I can use to do next step.
Or can anybody provide any instructions on any other way to copy this game?
Thanks

Thanks very much for the link Consul, some very useful stuff there. I'm not sure what some of the programs are or do but I'm sure I'll find out.
I've followed that tutorial and I can't get the game to work, I've tried it several times from scratch and burned it onto 4 DVDs, they all seem to freeze at the same point, right after the video when you try to start a game.
Can anyone suggest another method to back up this game or any other tips or suggestions?
Thanks

Hi again, my PS2 is modded with a chip. I used two different types of disc but as I said they both froze at exactly the same point, I'm just going to try again with a Maxell DVD-R that I've got, so fingers crossed.

All you need to make a copy is Nero and Iso buster First make a new folder on your desk top and call it 'fifa rebuild'
Open the fifa world cup iso with iso buster and drag the files over to your new folder. list the files the same order as iso buster. *YOU MUST BURN IN CORRECT ORDER*
Open Nero burning Rom select DVD and from list select DVD-ROM (udf/iso) then select NEW
In the same order drag the files into Nero burning Rom don't worry if they don't appear in Nero the same order as long as you have dropped them in the correct order this will be ok. Burn your disk, enjoy the game.
Game works 100% and the size of the game went from 4.37GB to 2.12GB

Thank you Bigross, I followed your instructions to the letter and mine too now works perfectly, I owe you a beer!
Will this procedure also work for Fifa Rugby 2006 and Fifa Street which I also tried and failed to copy in the past?
Thanks again also to Consul for the valuable download.

r33p3r, if you follow the instructions that bigross gave to me you'll be able to copy this game. Its much simpler than the original procedure I followed in the thread in my first post and it also works perfectly. I tried the original procedure three or four times from scratch, tried various discs and different programs to write them, each time I ended up with the same result as you, game freezing just after startup video.
With bigross's help and guidance I simply, opened the disc with DVD Decrypter, then extracted the files from the resulting ISO with ISO Buster, I then wrote them to the DVD with Nero (at 2x), then bingo, perfect copy.
In answer to my last post, I also tried the same procedure on Fifa rugby 2006 and it too worked perfectly.
Thanks again to all.

Hi all, just a quick update, I've tried to use this method to backup Fifa Street 2 and I can't get it to work despite the fact that it worked for Fifa world cup 2006 and fifa rugby 2006 all by EA Sports.
Has anyone else had any difficulty with this game? Any tips or advice?
Thanks

what you need to make a backup
1. DVD DCRYPTER
2. ISO BUSTER
3. NERO
4. The Game (This works with most games not just fifa)
How to make the backup:-
1.Place game in drive that will read the disk and open DVD Dcrypter, goto mode and select ISO READ, Save the ISO to your desktop so you can find it easy.
2. Create a new folder and call it 'FIFA REBUILD'
3. Drag the ISO into ISO BUSTER and this will give you a list of files that you drag into your folder 'FIFA REBUILD'
4. List the files in your 'FIFA REBUILD' the same order they appear in ISO buster. *IMPORTANT*
5. Open Nero and select Nero BURNING ROM, Select DVD and from the list select DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) then select NEW.
6. Drag the files from 'FIFA REBUILD' one by one into Nero, the files don't appear in the same order but as long as you have dropped them into Nero in the correct order this will be ok.
7. Burn to a DVD-R at half the disk speed i.e. if your disk is a 8x then you should burn at 4x this is also important as if you burn a game to fast or to slow it wont work.
8. Play the game - EASY
This works 100% with swap magic as the size of the game halfed.
Hope this is of some help

Easiest Way I've gotten it to work on the copy I bought is this way.
Make your iso in dvd decryptor
Open ExPERT v1.03
If you need Expert here's a link to it
http://www.angelfire.com/wrestling2/thecommittee/ExPERT_v1.03.rar
After opening ExPERT pick "Shrinker_ps2_psp_cddvd5_iso.epi" as your plugin.
Click Open and find the ISO dvd decryptor made.
Next, do this in this order.
1.Click Extract LBA
2.Click Extract File
3.Click Rebuild File
4.Click Rebuild LBA
Burn the new ISO with DVD Decryptor. It worked for me.

Try burning at the slowest possible speed. I used DVD+R if that makes a difference.

try burning at 8x as well, on new games I've found, for my system anyway, (with sony media) it's just as good, if not sometimes better than the original version. (loading times that is) Tho at 4x or 2x, it just makes it respectivly slower...
