Check this out guys, just saw it from psp-hacks.com, this is great news for N64 :)

-------------------------------------------------------------

Wow, this comes as a surprise in an email from Bradcrap - an N64 emulator, Daedalus!

Images here - http://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=57977.

Daedalus is a Nintendo64 emulator, written by StrmnNrmn, for Windows and the PSP.

Here?s what StrmnNrmn had to say about his fine release:

To cut a long story short, I managed to port the emulator over fairly quickly, but after starting a new job development ground to a halt. A few months later I saw the buzz surrounding PSMonkey?s N64 emu, and thought I?d have to finally bite the bullet and let people see what I had been working on.

This is quite important: The emulator is far from perfect - many (most) roms don?t currently boot, and there are all sorts of crashes, graphical glitches and performance issues. There?s no sound or savegame support either This should really be treated as a teaser of what?s possible in the future. Hopefully if I have enough time and motivation I?ll be able to make a lot of headway with these problems.

Despite all that, the emulator is showing some great signs of progress. Super Mario 64 is looking pretty good as you can see from the screenshots here: http://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=57977.

This is an early development build of Daedalus leaving it unusable at the moment; however, it does indeed show the potential of an N64 emulator in the future.

There is no savegame support.
There is no audio support.
Not all the N64 controls can be used.
Large roms (i.e. over 8MB) cannot be loaded.
Many roms won?t boot.
Many roms have serious graphical glitches.
Many roms have random lockups and crashes.
Most roms run at a low framerate.

Download Daedalus R1 - http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/452

Great work StrmnNrmn! Looking forward to future advancements!

Not sure if it works with eloader, it gets to the silvery screen and then selecting Donkeykong 64 it crashes...more than likely Donkeykong 64 isnt compatiable

It does work with eloader, it was the game.

Well if you check out LMAPRO's link halfway up the page you will find a compatability list that users have made up, there is quite alot that do work, but also quite alot that don't never the less a big thanks goes out to the coders responsible for porting this version of Daedalus as we all know how much time and effort goes into this category.

By eboot v1.00, Sudds means the homebrew PSP exectuable file (.PBP file) that was made for firmware 1.00 do not use the version made for firmware 1.5 (the one with two folders, one with a % and one without it).

I wouldn't bother because the emulator is just newly released and not that close to having a Playable game at full speed.
