my headsets broke the wire got cut

does anyone know how to put the wires back,is there something special because i put them how they go color by color but they still dont work?any help will help thanks

hey,
same prob happened to me my little bro cut the wire, all u hav to do is cut before the broken bit and after the broken bit so u have 2 clean cuts then wire strip them, solder each one together making sure they dont touch color coded, and wrap each individual piece in electrical tape then wrap the whole thing around once in electrical tape,
