I have just purchased my first PS2 console it is the slimeline fliptop version.I wish to play backups on it but do not want to dimantel it and add a modchip sounds to much like hassle, so have decide to go for the swipe card approuch but cannot find the pin or eny screws is mine a different version from the e.g.can you give me some pointers is there hope ta.

Slidecards are only for the older chunky versions.

You need Swap Magic discs and something that goes by a few different names like Magic Switch, Magic Keys, Slimtool, Ghost Switch
These you install and depending on what version you have may or may not void your warranty. I think with a V12 you are safe but a V13 or V14 it will void the warranty because you have to open it to install one of the pieces.
so if the number on your sticker is something other than SCPH-7000X
"X" being the last number, then you have to void the warranty

a good modchip (DMS4 Pro SE, Matrix Infinity, Crystal Chip 1.1)
is the best solution but shoul be installed by a pro or reputable modding site
