Also, does anyone know if this phone after being unlocked, will be able to work with USA providers, such as T-Mobile or Sprint/Nextel, or any of the others?
You will not be able to use it with sprint/nextel as they dont operate on GSM frequencies. You can use it on TMOBILE and Cingular if you wish. I would double check the frequency the phone operats on as well as the carrier/service provider you are wanting to use.

So mine is one of those phones where you can't do it without a new, fresh SIM? If I screw up the code when I plug in the new SIM, will I thrash the SIM card and need a new one?
I will go verify the frequencies of Cingular and Tmobile first to make sure my phone is actually compatible. Thank you for your help!

I wish I could know how it is working here. You just leave your Nokia model together with IMEA and kindly ask to unlock the phone that was locked by a certain GSM operator ?
