Hey all,

Well, I've read the guides and trawled through the forums and can't find an answer, so I hope this isn't a dumb question!

I'm trying to convert a .avi file to .mpg so I can burn it to CD (VCD format) to play in a DVD player.
The problem is that the converted file is almost 3Gb.
File is converted using TMPGenc-2, default values for PAL.

The avi file details ;

Size 700mb
Video Codec div3
aspect 576 x 304
bitrate 684 kb/s
framerate 23.97 fps
Audio codec 0x0055 (MP3) MPEG1 layer3
bitrate 140 kb/s


Is there anyway to compress the avi or different parms I can use to reduce the output file size ?
