I really need to get this done ASAP because my boss sprung it on me at the last minute *shakes fist*.

I have created a looping 3D animation, rendered it out as a TGA sequence and exported it as an AVI. This piece is meant for a projector as it is to be shown on a wall as part of an installation piece in a museum.

Originally, I was led to believe that it would be played from a laptop connected to the projector. However now it seems it is to be from a DVD player to the projector, no computer involved.

I have no idea how to author an AVI file to a DVD so it will seamlessly loop until interrupted by the user.

I have downloaded AVI2DVD and DVD Decrypter as the guide recommends, however I've got no clue about getting it loop smoothly.

Please, any help will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT - The dimensions of this piece are strange, as the aspect ratio needed to complement the size of the wall. The dimensions are 1024x373.

cheers!

Convert the AVI to a an mpeg (vcd), burn to a cd and play in the dvd player. You can set most dvd players to start over with an A-B repeat button on the remote control...
or
convert the AVI to a dvd compliant video_ts folder with one of any freeware conversion programs and then using TMPGEnc DVD author you can change the settings so that it will start from the beginning of the dvd whenever it plays all the way through.

Those were the first solutions that came to mind but why not just ask if you can use the laptop, set windows media player to "repeat" and load the AVI?

your conscience doesnt absolve your guilt

Problem is with that aspect ratio, he/she's going to have troubles with converting it.
