Hiya peeps, just got a slimline PS2 given to me,
the model is a SCPH-75003

What version is this ?

I want to buy the swap magic 3.6 but am not sure if it will
work. Is there any other form of "external modchip " for the slim
PS2 which I can use??

As it's a new warranty unit, I dont really want to open it up
and have to solder squillions of wires everywhere.

Cheers

Gwoolie

Its a V14

No swap magic is your best option, it works fine with most games, and if it doesn't work, you can usually get a patch to get games to work

with a V14 you are prtty much out of luck with the warranty issue.
And since no one ever mentions this, SWap Magic is not the only mod you will need. You will also need an aftermarket flip top of a tool that goes by many names (Magic Switch, Slimtool, Ghost Switch)
And from what i have read either of those you will have to void your warranty to install.

The best mod is a modchip. DMS4 Pro, Matrix Infinity, Or Crystal Chip V1.1
but you would have to have it installed by a pro, and it would cost a bit more than the Swap Magic route.
But all around it is the very best way to go and a lot less hassle than Swap Magic.
