this is due to heavy copy protection even though it doesn't sound like it. use vobblanker on the created files to fix post encoded matierial.

or as I read somewhere long ago

1. do a search on "nero problems" or similar.

2. note the amount of threads on any forum you search on

3. use another burning program.

when it comes to burning dvds, CopyToDVD is better than Nero. music and other things, i don't know.

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

I use imgburn exclusively for movies. not that I haven't tried other way's but everything eventually sent me back to imgburn with imgtool classic you can make almost anything an image.

for a list of files that imgburn can burn just check the settings tab.

my two cents :-)

Actually, even with those error messages, you will get a working copy with Nero... It's happened to me a few times as well. I'm gonna look for the post where JDobbs or Rockas explains why you may get this message...

You have the best. AnyDVD now has a ripper as well as the background driver decryption. For hard drive files use the ripper, which has FixVTS incorporated for correcting files for DVD compliance while the rip to the HD occurrs. I like some of the functions in the DVD Decrypter, so I use it along with AnyDVD. I have DVD Decrypter set to Slysoft preferred settings though.

Most burners are good, but ImgBurn and DVD Decrypter require the files to be in ISO format, where Nero can do either ISO or files. As you were told, you can most often continue the burn with good success even though the software questions the burn. CopyToDVD in those circumstances won't allow the burn. I've been there. How did the burn turn out with Nero, or have you tried it? If not I suggest you do so before putting down the software. Use an RW to be on the safe side if you have doubts.

You're welcome. The nice thing about Nero is that it will allow the burn with an error message. As long as the original disc plays well and the backup software works without problems, then I'm willing to gamble on the burn questioned by the burner software. So far it's worked out; not to say the next one may not.

I have yet to have a burn with the "dvd files reallocation failed" message NOT play after processing with RB and burning with Nero... It has happened to me at least a half dozen times that I can recall. Truthfully, I do not know why I just don't output to ISO... Probably because that results in two outputs, the DVD files AND the .iso image, but I have plenty of HD space (300+ GB available)!!!

EDIT: I guess that could be a feature request to JDobbs for those with limited HD space... Either output DVD files OR .iso image OR both... LOL

LOL You guys are on the ball. I didn't get the chance to mention that one. ;) I have my batch processing set up that way with a generic folder named RB Output. When done, all that's left in RB Output is the ISO files for the backed up movies. The only thing left in RB Work is the last D2VAVS folder. That way I have the batch processing cleaning up behind itself. A person just has to watch out if they have something like the Norton protected recycle bin.
