Newbie here. Searched but couldn't really find what I'm looking for.

Is there any way dvd shrink can shrink multiple video files, say on your hard-drive? Or is it esclusive to dvd's only?

If not, are there any programs out there that can do what I'm talking about? Tanks.

WinRAR will compress all types of files,
And you can span the files to designated size limits,
And burn them to dvd-rom.
When you wanted to extract the contents place ALL
pieces of the file together (in the same folder) then extract them.

But yes DVD Shrink will only work for dvd video files.

I use WinRAR regularly, but I don't really see how it makes files smaller rather than make a full folder into one file. How to you actually make it smaller?
