I have some questions regarding video quality. I recently attempted to enlarge some videos, but while doing so the quality seemed to deteriorate (ie. it began to pixelate and become more blurry). Is there any applications you know of, freeware or shareware which enlarge the video (320X240 --> 800x600) and improve the video quality at these higher resolutions.

NO,
you cannot make a video have any better quality than it already is. This is impossible. You can enlarege it with VirtualDub but this wont improve the qualiy.
