I have a PS2 V5 with a DMS4 EZI Pro solder-less mod chip installed. The test panel has all green lights and I can play original PS2 games; however, I'm having trouble flashing my mod-chip.

I can get the DMS is Disabled message so the chip is correctly installed. I have unziped Toxic OS .41 for their website and I see two files, .Bin & .CUE, do I need to burn the image of both to a cd-r or just one of them? Also, the .CUE file is only 86 bytes, is this correct? How can I burn the .Bin file as a image because Smartnero does not reconize it as an image.

When I place a cd-r with the .Bin or .CUE image to PS2 can not read the disk. The disk just keeps spinning. NEED HELP!!!

Second, do I need a hard drive to flash my mod-chip?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Depending on the burning software you have, tell your software that you're burning a disk image and "point" it to the files and burn them. Insert the newly created disc in your PS2 and then turn the PS2 on and you'll be all set.

Load the cue file in Nero and burn it.

1. use Nero if you have it and go to CD tab in startsmart
2. use the option that looks like a DVD with a match on fire (this will burn an image)
3. choose the cue file and burn to a CD
4. run in the PS2

that is how you burn the fkash upgrade. If it doesn't work then i would say your PS2 may have a problem with the brand of CD you used, or just has troble reading CD's
