Hi, I was trying to help out a friend with some nero problems. She had been running Nero 6 pretty much the original. So i gave her a link to Nero 6.6.0.18. Then all her burns have failed, even ones that she has been able to do before. Alot of things were wrong with her nero log, pretty much everything you can think of. I told her how to fix it but she hasn't gotten around to it yet. So my question is, why has she been able to burn with all these problems on her old version of nero but not 6.6.0.18?

are you sure she downloaded 6.6.0.18 & not 6.6.1.4, as 6.6.1.4 was full of bugs.

I bieleve you are mistaken.

If your error is a TRF error then my next post will fix the problem,
If NOT please post complete nero error log file.

Your updated version of NERO broke the connection with DVD shrink,
You need to roll-back to a previous version.

Write down your nero serial# and then uninstall version 6.6.1.4 from your system using the general cleantool found here:

http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html

Next, download and install version 6.6.0.18 from the links provided, re-enter the serial# and you're good to go.

nero version 6.6.0.18 updates:
Package 1
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

Package 2
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

Or disable the auto-burn with shrink and burn it manually,
But it that is too much work for me personally,
But either way should fix the problem.

I'm pretty sure I gave her 6.6.0.18. I heard of the newer version's bugs. And why isn't 6.6.0.18 bad? All I ever hear around here is people saying to switch back to taht version. I've been using taht version for years and have never upgraded.
