Hi,
I have noticed that sometimes when opening a disc within dvdshrink that it will not always show that the movie has DTS and will only show 5:1 when i know full well that the dvd has DTS sound on it.
I have loooked through the settings but there is nothing to help change this weird occurance and the weird thing is that it doesnt do it every time.
Any ideas?

Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Stream Selections tab

What appears in the Audio language and coding type menu? AC3 or LPCM? To get DTS I believe all types might have to be selected. Unless one has a DTS decoder keeping that stream isn't of use for most. I think AC3 or LPCM may be the default. See if that works for you.

Laddy,

thank you so much for your suggestion however as stated everything is set to receive DTS and in most cases it does but on a few discs which i know have DTS it will simply not show it.

I may simply download DVDShrink again and see if that does it.

You might try Nero Recode, part of the Nero suite of programs. I don't use DTS, so I haven't checked it out on Recode. The programmer who did Recode originally programmed DVD Shrink.
