i want to do a destructive system recovery to my 160gb hdd because i have run out of space but i also dont want to delete certain media on the hdd. Is there anyways to make windows look over a folder on a destructive system recovery?
I would seriously suggest you burn all the media you ever have on CDs and delete them, i think your comp. cant even defrag huh? well yeah, if thats the case do that or i think your hdd might crash and die on you, im not joking, i would think you should actually reformat the thing and install a fresh windows instead OR you can just buy a portable HDD or and xtra one an just save all the files into that one...thats my thoughts for your issues, just post any thing that happens or if you have more questions...im actually concerned lol
I bought a second harddrive for that kinda thing. Music, games etc. So If my first ever dies then all my important stuff is backed up. Only the OS is on my first HDD and I've made a backup of both of them with - Acronis True Image 9.
i was actually thinking of taking the folder with my media and using dvd decrypter to create an iso an burn it to a second hdd. I want it in an iso image because my computer doesnt read the hdd went inserted because i formated it with my ps2 for my hdloader. If i turn it into an iso is there any was to make my computer see it as a folder again?

o and i used up all my cd-rs and i have 50 dvd-r's but im about to throw them away because when i got home i noticed i dont have a dvd burner........yea life sux
wait, your gonna use DVD Decrypter to change files to iso????? What?! hmmmm... what kinna media are you actually talking about, i would just put it all into a zip file and burn that, but yeah capacity might be to large and whatever your gonna burn it too might not take it all, so instead since you dont have a dvd burner, and just have regular burner, i suggest you just buy a separate hdd and save it there, perhaps a usb hdd large enough for your needs

Thanks Mik3h, i took your advice and used WinRAR and compressed the entire folder. Altogether it came up to 4 gb of songs but it was worth it. I reformated and extracted my songs from the minidrive ,now i have 153 hdd space left. Thanks guys.
