How long before Dual Layer is affordable?

When will dual layar discs become affordable...in the $1 per disc range? Weren't current 4.7 Gig blanks much more expensive a few years ago? I would like to see a Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden dual layer printable for $1 a disc. How will this affect the need for DVD Rebuilder and other programs that fit movies on a single layer dvd?
Will we even need them anymore?

It'll be a while, the TY company haven't even made any DLs...$2+ per disc are as good as it gets for now, and printables are like $3 per disc.

Yeah I can't wait until they go dwon in price.

Maybe when those HD disc start selling, DL's will go down.

I'm still waiting for full hub printable media to come out
