After chip installation my PS2 ( SCPH-50008 ) reads normally only DVD Video and Audio CD disks .
Original license PS2 disks my console recognized only if i first mounted DVD Video , then extracted it and insert original PS2 disk ( it sounds like a kind of fantom , but it's true ) . All backups of original license PS2 games my console don't recognized in any cases , therefore i can't flash new firmware ( current version is 1.5 ) .
In Infinity option configuration menu i can change anything , but nothing changes .
What's wrong .

Did you do the installation yourself? If not are you sure you have a real Matrix Infinity chip?

How do you mount your DVD video, then change to your original PS2 disc? Is it similar to what swap magic do, or do you just use the eject button to get the tray out??

Installation was proveded by myself with original Matrix Infinity chip .
DVD may be mounted by any types : result always is only one .
Original PS2 games disk my consol recognized only after it .

Can you disable the chip and try with your original game? It may be a bad installation or less likely, problem with the laser?
