I have 3 diffrent types of DVD-R media right now.

Memorex 16x
TDK 16x
Verbatim 16x

Tonight on my Benq 1650 i burned the same .iso movie file on to each of the 3 types of media.

The file was pretty much 4.3 GB and i burned all of the disks at 12x.

I ran the disk quality check on each of the disks and this is what i got.

Verbatim - 99 MCC03
Memorex - 95 CMC-MAG
TDK - 95 TTH02

I was surpised to find how well the memorex and the TDK did on the quality test. I havn't burned anything less then a 96 on a handful of the Verbatim and the 95's on the "lower quality" disks are the lowest this burner has done. Needless to say i'm very impressed with this burner, but now i may just use up all of my media expecially if i continue to get that type of results with the disk quality test.

if you re-scan in 6 months down the road the CMC mag and TDK may not hold up where the Verbatim longterm will

I found on the Tdk & memosux after playing the movies 5 or 6 times they would start pixelating in spots and get worse that would show good scans. Chris
