That is only if you want to avoid getting 2 News and Weather channels. I myself didn't bother and now have duplicate channels, but if you want a go here's how you do it:
Burn 2 discs, one with brickblocker, one without.
Insert the nonbrickblocked one into your Wii and begin the update.
At about 15% pull the power out your Wii.
Insert the brickblocked one.
If it doesn't play let the nonbrickblocked one install a little more before you pull the power.

Put in the non-Brick Blocked, let it update until around 15% and then unplug your Wii, from what I hear, it pauses at the point for a little bit, giving you enough time to do it. Then plug your Wii back in, take out the non-Brick Blocked, put in the one that is, let that one update all the way, and play Smash.
You don't have to do this, but it prevents a semi-brick.

Yeah after you've done it once just put the brickblocked one in to play.

From my experience, when I put in the Brick Blocked version of Brawl, it did not need to update again... it just loads normally and u can start the game.

Well i can now CONFIRM that the Azumi iso works perfectly as i have been playing for bout an hour and a half, i only had it freeze onece after i completed classic mode so geuss you cant really get anywhere in single player but vs. and online work perfectly games awsome just trying to figure out how to unlock solid snake as he is my favorite character EVER! and i did use the 15% method and no duplicates in wii menu plus wii settings works, everythings great!

System Firmware at 3.1U, Wiikey at 1.9g, Region Free - On
Tested both non-/Brick Blocked versions, none would read the game in the menu.

No no...
Download all 45 files first and put them into the same folder.
They are .rar files, so use a program called winRAR to extract them.
To extract the file, u just have to click on one of the 45 file, doesnt matter which one u pick, and click extract. Again, just make sure there are all in the same folder.
Once the extraction is finished, u will get an .iso file. That is the file u burn to the disc... and only that file.
If u want to use the 10-15% method, do those steps first before burning to the disc.

Nope, when you tell it to extract from the first file, it actually utilizes all of the RAR files. You'll then have a dx.iso file I believe it is called. You don't put this ISO file on a disk. You use a disc burning program to burn the disc image (.iso) onto a disc. Just dragging the ISO onto a disk and burning it with Windows will do nothing. Once your ISO is extracted, you may discard the RAR files if you wish.

Use the hacked 1.3config boot with it.
It will ask for a base disc.
eject and insert the filechopped 1.3 config and use the reset key
to navigate the menu.

ya good question how did u get luigi?? and how do u get snake i keep playing the shadow moses(metal gear solid) lewel and i have played it over 20 times no snake yet, how do i get him???

I was a little perplexed as to what kind of DVDs I should be using. I understand Verbatims are without a doubt the best. I purchased some +R DL disks in anticipation of the full Brawl, and I have a pack of +R. Is it okay to use +R instead of -R?

I have 3 quick questions if anyone is willing to answer.
1) Have we heard anything from the wiikey team about getting dual layer compatability?
2) Is there a confirmed dual layer rip yet? I saw the youtube video claiming to be a working DL rip but I'm skeptical if its real or not.
3) Does anyone know if theres an unlocked save game floating around the net? I dont need to play SSE but I'd like to have all the characters unlocked.
