My brother ps2 started saying disc read error today on all dvd we tried but it reads music cds. I was just curious what i should try first before buying a new laser. If i have to get a new lasers any one know the place I can get the best deal

Here you go a whole walkthrough on getting rid of that nasty dirty disc read error.

In the past 4 years I'v had my PS2 I'v only had trouble with Final Fantasy IX so cleaned the laser over a year ago and no problems since, trust me when I say cleaning your laser the right way does a world of good, Just make sure you read through the whole walkthrough before attempting as I cannot be held liable for any damage caused.
