Hi,
I was wondering what's the best frame rate to use
for movies 24fps-29fps
celeron 2.8, 2x 80hd, 1 gig ram, mad dog ext 8x dvd+/-r
1 click DVD / AnyDVD, Dvd-Cloner 2, Dvd Shrink / Dvd43
Nero, Power DVD, Pinnacle Studio 9.43

i think it's, the higher, the better quality, but in exchange for size. the higher the framerate, the bigger the movie file. so it depends on how much space you have on your memory stick.

Reducing the framerate to 24fps can help reduce the ghosting abit, having a higher fps rate can result in blurryness and a poor visual experience, PSP (i dont know why) has a problem playing at 25fps, so either stick with 24 or 29.97, but its up to the viewer, convert a small bit of the movie first use -t 600 as an FFMPEG flag with PSPvideo9 or your own software if it supports it to convert 10mins of the movie and see what u think.

I didn't even know you could record just a small part of
video with psp video 9. Thanks for the help and keep up

Actually if isn't 14.97 or 29.97 you will have problems with it, for a player that will not restrict you framrate/bitrate/resolution wise, try pmtplayer.

out of luck there...

im on a 1.5 suddsssss u kno that =)
[edit] any firmware can play videos btw.. so you arent outta luck with a 2.6.

U can use PSPLAYERMT to run 480x272 movies on ur PSP, by using the GTA exploit.

I have tried it, but...it wont play AVC/H264 movies, and i found that encoding with DivX or XviD, that u could clearly see the blocks, no matter what settings i used, which is why i resorted back to the native PSP player with two pass encodes.
