is it possible to boot ps2 console with a usb flash drive. if so then can we load a software from a flash drive to run ps2 games from usb hdd
connected to other usb slot ps2 console.

when i purchased my ps2(slim) console it wasn't able to run PAL games. so i asked a technition to solve this problem and then he installed a mod-chip in my ps2. now i can say that my ps2 is modded but i don't know which mod-chip is installed in my ps2 console. is that what you wanted to know?

yea. theres sites on the i-net where you can download applications that will run on a modded ps2 that will load other applications off usb, mc, cd, or hdd. your chip might have its own operating system though which would do the same thing as the downloaded app (from what i have heard). you might wanna ask the tech which chip he installed.
