Hey everyone i'm pretty psyched that we get a first glimpse at the real Halo 3 trailer. Here's a link. Check out the video and lets hear some feedback on what you guys think. I am so pumped that Bungie is giving us a look into the future of the Halo series. The trailer is pretty impressive

Although not many details are given in the trailer, the graphics look very impressive and i cant wait until we get to see a final trailer and then we can get our game on in the Spring of 2007.

i want a playable demo before i judge this game
why you ask
remember when they realeased info on halo 2 and they showed the game running flawlessly and nice then when we get are game the game sucks because of major graphics problems and errors
so untill i see the game in action playable im not interrested

Johnnodd, I don't what kind of game you played but I never experienced any problems with gameplay from H2. It ran as perfect as expected it would. Plus not to shabby with load times concidering it was a dual layer dvd game! And it utilized 75% of it's platform's capabilities, a feat not claimed by many game companies

Yeah it isnt very clear as to what she is saying, i'll hav to check that out. It could possibly be a hint as to what the plot of the new game will be about. I assume they will continue from where the halo 2 campaign left off.

Will the elites be on the human side now, along with the hunters and grunts? like they were at the end of halo 2? And as for cortona, if she swiches to any side surely it will be the flood, remember the very end of halo 2 when the head flood thing demands answears.

Heres my take on the trailer. Cortana's origin is never revieled as far as I know. I believe Cortana is the AI construct for the Earth's Halo device. That is what is probably meant by her first lines...
" I am your shield, I am your sword" I don't think she is speaking directly to chief but to any Earth being the transmission is reaching. Gravemind would accomplish nothing by assimilating Cortana besides learn about our history and our weaponry, tactics...etc. I think Gravemind knows about Cortanas connection to the Halo devices and that is why he holds her close...a last ditch effort to prevent the rings from activating, hence securing the floods place in the universe.

ign, said that the game starts when the covernet rule the earth, and something whcih was planted a long time ago in the earths crust comes out (whcih we saw in the trailer) so basically we will be playing on earth but this time its ruled by covernent.

Sounds like yet another brilliant storyline heading our way :)
EDIT:
Wait, i just had an idea, what if the covenant were the dominant speices of earth before the humans, and they built that huge laser thing than comes out of trhe ground (for which reason i have no idea, maybe to destroy something) then after they built that the humans became the dominant speices until what we see in the trailer, Earth again being dominated by the covenant and the activation of that laser thing

at the end of the day its all about the online play on xbox live, the single player has always been great but when halo 2 came out i did not even play the single player untill at least 6 mounths down the line b/c xbl was so much fun.

My what silly bastards we all are! It just occured to me the other day how many times we all saw a demo of one of the levels in Halo 3 and never realized it. If you may recall, when the trailer for Halo2 real-time gameplay at E3 was shown, it showed the chief walking thru a medic unit in Old Mombassa and there were huge mortar cannon coming out of the ground. As the chief started thru the streets, there were brutes and no elites or hunters in sight anywere. The only time you see elites is at the end and they surround chief, but you can't assume they all fight to the death. What if chief whipped out the nade and nodded as in if he was approving of thier help. I think they merged elements of H2 and H3 in the demo, to both accknowledge H2 and to hide in plain sight, the development of H3 right after H2 was finished and before it hit store shelves. Maybe I'm just being a complete moron but I beleive this is not a coincidence. What do you guys think? Here is the demo gameplay trailer for those who forgot.

Dude that cant be a level of Halo 3 because that level was already in Halo 2 and it was changed. That was the level with that spider robot thingy. There were many levels after after that so it cant be in Halo 3.

nope that is not in halo 2, considering that never in halo 2 did anything covernat built come out of the ground from the earths crust and shoot lasers into the sky.
