all of you gamers i know are excited about the ps3 but there is something you need to know
there is a reason why the 20 gig is cheaper and here it is in the 20 gig ps3 you will receive
1.a ps3 console (with a 20 gig hard drive no memory card ports for ps2 and psone games no firewire no usb 2.0 and only works on hdtv
2.a wired controller sony plans on a wireless controller to be priced at a differrent time for a expensive price no less due to the bluetooth technology
3. and a hd tv cable only
4.catch the 20 gig version doesn't come with wifi built into the console only the 600 doller 60 gig hard drive version does.
so in the long run wait for the 600 doller version to come down in price you will be sorry if you don't
do not purchase the cheaper core system it sucks
thought you would like to know...

Where the heck did you get this information? Post a link to validate this claim. If not, then all you're posting is BS crap.

I have a hard time believing that, what i DO know is that with the 60gig model you get:
HDMI support
An extra 40gigs
WIFI 802.11(something like that)
and finally
Memory stick slots, SD or Compact Flash
http://www.ps3news.ca/05102006/09/ps3_bummer_499_model_missing_fe...
Its not necessarily a secret, if thats what you're tlking about...
Personally I'd go with the 60GB model, you get soo much more, even though 600$ is a lil steep, im willing to shell out an extra 100...

May 8, 2006 - The announcement earlier tonight that the PS3 would come in two separate configurations easily caught the ear of PS3 fans eager for any news of Sony's system. However, upon closer analysis of the images for the systems itself, a rather curious system feature seemed to be missing from the 20 gig configuration.
Looking at the official press site of SCEA, we noticed that the PS3 with the 20 gigabyte hard drive seemed to lack HDMI support. This seems to be confirmed by an offical press release from SCEA, which indicates via comparison between the two systems. However, it also indicates that the 20 gigabyte system won't have Memory Stick, SD or Compact Flash reading capability or WiFi support. Even worse, it appears that rumble doesn't appear to be included with the new six axis sensing controller.
Could the 20 gig become a gamer shunned system? When Microsoft launched the Xbox 360, consumers hated the Core system that didn't come with a hard drive and other features, quickly dubbing it the "tard pack." Will the 20 gig suffer the same fate? We'll have more details as we get them from the show.

SON OF A *****!! Shame on you, Sony! I'm sure that the people had their heads up their butts when making the 20GB version. They're soooooo stupid. No way the 20GB shaved version will end up in my house.
