Installing Huffyuv 2.1.1 codec

I can't seem to install this codec. I unzipped v 2.1.1 and when I right click on huffyuv.inf, I don't get the option to install. I get the options: Open, cut, copy, delete, properties. I downloaded this codec from several sites and I get the same prompt when I right click. Any suggestions on how I can install this to use with virtualdub?

I'm assuming you have Windows XP installed on the computer. If that's the case, this is what you need to do. Download this registry tweak at this site.

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/fileassoc/xp_inf_assoc.zip

Extract the file. Double click xp_inf_assoc.reg file. It will prompt you with a message:

"Are you sure you want to add this information LOCATION OF REG FILE to the registry?"

Click Yes. Restart the computer.

This tweak repairs the INF association with Windows XP. You should now see the install option when you right click an inf file. Hope that worked.
