i posted a question a while back asking if there was a way to convert an iso image to an mpeg or maybe an avi file. i never really got the answer i was hoping for. i want to use shrink to edit out small parts of dvds and then convert them from the iso image to a type of file that i can email or share with ppl so all they have to do is click on it and it will open and play in windows media player. like the way u would email an mp3 file of s a song to someone and they click on it and it plays. so is there a way to do that kind of conversion? thanx in advance.

I don't think you can convert an iso, so why not just save it as a VTS file in Shrink and then convert. It is the easiest way.

You have to edit your movie and then instead of saving it as an iso file, check the box and save it as VTS. Then you will need some program to convert this file to avi/mpeg. Only sw I am familiar with is IMTOO/Xillisoft, or Cucusoft I believe does this. Here is a free program that may also do the job.

I know IMTOO and Xillisoft, both by the same people, do this and have a free trial of their programs. I have IMTOO and it works fine the only thing is you must have ASPI installed for it to work.

You need to mount the iso images with WinISO or other programs, then rip to AVI or MPEG from the virtual drive.
