i need help installing scumm vm and making it work..i'm not really that tech savvy and the read-me didnt help much.i went to there web site ,didnt get much out of that either.i have a psp 1.0. and when i purchased this psp it already had a few emulaters on it already. So far i managed to get the scumm source port screen in line up with the other emulaters but a courpted data icon pops up too.if i try to run it ,it goes back to the origional psp menu. doesnt give me a emulater menu like the other ones do.(dgen,nester j,etc.) Is there a thread already out there for a step by step walk through for installing scumm for iddiots like me. thanks

The corupted data icon pops up because you have downloaded a Firmware 1.5 version of the emulator.

You will need to use SEI PSP Tool (download from here:http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/110 ) to convert it.

This is how you do it.
1.Download the tool and extract it to your hard drive
2.Runit and click on 1.5-->1.0 convert
3.Specify the location of the two folders of Scumm Vm (one that has a % and one without it)
4.Click OK.
5.Specify your PSP\GAME\ folder on your memory stick and click OK.
6.Thats it! You should now be able to play the homebrew

i tryed that and now i have 2 scummvm icons up there, nither go into a emulater screen both redirect to the psp menu again.i found the % and the other sucmm folder and correctly used the sei tool there. but i didnt really understand what you were trying to explaine on the next step.any suggestions..thanks

get that one
since yours is a 1.0
create a folder in your psp\game folder called scumm or whatever you want it named, copy the eboot thats in the "single_eboot" folder
over to your psp\game\scumm folder

To minimize confusion its a good idea to delete the old scumm you put on the psp.

well that link didnt work but i took your advice and remove everything then reinstall just the eboot to a new folder and it went to the menu screen! thanks!! now, i hate to be an iddiot, but how do i get roms to what folder and where to make it work.. theres a couple of free ware roms on the scumm vm site i think im gonna try. thanks again for the help
