Apart fom the obvious...

The easiest thing you can do is put a higher firmware disk in, then when you turn on it won't run it cos the firmware is wrong.

There was a way, you had to something in your settings, but i cant remember..ill have a look for you.

You can change the parental control level to 1 in the security settings, worked for me when my PSP was v2.0 but isn't working now I've downgraded to 1.50. It requires you to enter your password before the umd starts, just press cancel and it'll take you to the psp main menu.

or just pop open the disc tray for 3 seconds when u turn on ur psp

The password method is way better than opening the UMD drive method.

The password screen pops up when you turn the PSP on, then just press X to run the game, or O to go to the system menu. That seems way less hassle than opening the UMD drive, waiing for the PSP to go to the system menu then closing the UMD drive.

But it's all down to preference I guess.
