I have never had any problems burning a movie and I am only using a 900 mhz machine with 32g of free space. I decrypt with dvdfabdecrypter (always the latest version) which very seldom ever takes more than about an hour. Then I use dvd shrink to shrink it. I do not burn it from dvd shrink. I use a program called copytodvd. I just click on the file, it asks me if I want to burn it as video or data. I click video and it sends right to my burner. I have nero but I never use it. It's a pain in the ass and it to much trouble. I burn everything with copytodvd. From start to finish at the longest it might take 2.5 hours to copy a movie. I do not understand why everyone is having all these problems. Keep it simple. You do not need all these fancy programs some people are using or trying to use.

CopytoDVD is a good alternative to burning with Nero or Decrypter. Also Shrink will open it automatically, just like it does with the other two programs.

Most folks don't have problems, but for those who do, we are here to help, regardless of the programs they use. I always try to help a person get the program they are currently using to work. Mainly because if they bought it then they probably want it to work so they can get their moneys worth. If it s freeware then they might not be able to afford anything else.

You are right in your "keep it simple" philosophy though. Nero is way more than anyone needs to simply burn DVDs.

If you output your file from Shrink in iso format, you can check burn file with CopyToDVD in your preferences. It will then automatically open CopyToDVD and start your burn right after encode. No need to open the program manually.

Thank you arniebear. I did not know that about CopyToDVD can be started from shrink. I will try it. Like I said keep it simple. That will be one less step I need to do.

arniebear or fastrank I am using version 3.2.0.15 of dvdshrink. I do not see any place to set the output as an iso format or have it open CopyToDVD to start burning automatically. Where and how are you doing this? In my preferences there is nothing to allow me to have it open CopyToDVD and in output files there aren't any iso format settings.

When you hit your backup button for your movie just choose the option in the target device. You can either save as an iso image or VOB files and CopyToDVD will automatically burn after your transcode.
