Slow bluetooth on my motorola v635

for some reason my bluetooth is extremely slow on my v635, would anyone know the reason for this?, i've tried sending photos etc from a sony ericsson w800i to the motorola v635 and it seems like they transfers at around 5kbs which is very slow....anyone know if i can do anything to increase the speed?
