I bought a DELL with NEC 1100 DVD+RW burner. (I upgraded this for 80 bucks! Free upgrade to CDRW, Upgrade to DVD+RW was only 80 bucks!!). I have tested a couple of DVD+RW. (DVD+R seems still too expensive). First one is Fuji. This one has playback problem as a DVD-Video. The second one is a Verbatim. This shows no problem, but reading speed with NEC 1100 was too slow. It was fast enough as DVD-Video though. My other DVD reader(Toshiba) read much faster than NEC did. Seems like NEC 1100 is very picky. I ordered Imation and TDK DVD+RW. I would like NEC 1100 owners to share information and experience.
