With all the great things said about TY media, I really would like the try. Could someone help me out here, or send me genuine TY (clingwrap) esp if you're nearer like Australia...Thks
No, the Sonys are made in Taiwan or Malaysia, so are Fujis. Anyway, I'd rather have TY not Sony or Fuji made by Ty. I don't find Sony that great....Help again.
Tys are used in factory for inventory data and supplier will not sell to dealers/distributors, I don't know why. Anyway, I posted this Ty help on a local forum and someone came back saying he has TY DVD+R 16x which is not available in US yet. Also he said the ones in US are OEM. Is this true and pls explain what is OEM? ($5 a piece!!!)
Why spped TY should I stick to, I think I perefer 8X and wht should the media coe be. BTW is verbatim MCC002 or MCC003 better

Perhaps some licencing problems selling them there?
It's true that the +R 16X are not available here as yet. Only the -R 16X is.
OEM = Original Equipment Manufacture. The term is commonly used with hardware, not discs.
$5 a piece is way to expensive! Nothing like stealing from someone.
As for what speed to get (if you can) I've had really good results with all speeds. I think it's going to be more of a questions of what you can get!
As Mort81 said, the Verbatims are all pretty good. The MCC004 is the newest ones out. But some people are having trouble with them.
I've never tried any 16x media, only 8x. I don't intend on burning DVDR at more than 8x, so if I get Verbatim, are the 8x or 16x more reliable becos someone's selling at USD0.40cts ea MCC002, thought I'll settle fr that time being till I can get my hands on TY. @dolphin2, Emtec DVDR here are like $9 per pc. Now, what would you call that???!
