Run emulators with firmware 1.52?

Have just brought a PSP with 1.52 firmware, can I run any emulators like snes, megadrive without changing the firmware?.

U can play various homebrew an apps on ur 2.60 if u own a UMD of GTA:LCS via the eloader http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/300895 my guide can help u get homebrew up an going on ur 2.60

You first said that it was 1.52 firmware. You didn't upgrade did you? Just go stick your head in a toilet and flush it several times if thats what you did. If you did have 1.52 you could have done so much more but if you upgraded to 2.6 you have just neutered your psp severly.

Thanks guys, ill have a read.

I did not upgrade from 1.52 I was mistaken, thought I read 1.52 somewhere. To be honest I dont want to mess around with changing the firmware to run emulators, just thought it would be nice to try some old classics.
