I know that the majority have their own opinions and thoughts regarding to which program they find the most effective in backing up their DVDs. I suppose I wanted to know what the majority of people find the most user friendly program.
Maybe if I explained my situation it might be easier for people to understand. I am a newbie at burning DVDs, and I've had no previous problem backing my dvds onto the HD and then using DVD shrink to compress the file so I can burn it on a 4.6gig dvd disc. At the moment, I'm facing this dilemna I accidently uninstalled my DVDFab Decrypter, and now when I went to redownload the program it tells me that there is only a 30day trial to it. I have no qualms about paying for a program that I will use often, however I want to know which program is best suited for my needs and the most user friendly for a newbie such as myself.
I want a program that can be backed up to my HD and then be compressed into a 4.6gig Audio_TS and Video_TS file so I can use my HP burning software and burn it into a disc.
I am also looking for a program that can handle most decryptions and decrypt files that create Audio_TS and Video_TS files, that can then later be compressed into a 4.6gig file that is burnable.
All suggestions and advices are greatly appreciated, and Car.Mike had previously suggested some very helpful hints, however a newbie I did not quite understand what he meant. If there is a simpler way for the process ontop to be achieved please let me know. Thank you.

@ifallen

Since you're new to burning DVDs,go to this guy's web site and check out the guides for backing up dvds with different programs. There are also download links for the free programs, including DVD Decrypter which is free(not a trial version) I normally use AnyDVD as my encryption cracker. DVD Fab Decrypter is another and is free. A lot of us us DVD Shrink(free), And Nero suite 6 or 7(not free), CloneDVD(not free) and others. Welcome to AD and post back if you need clarification.

Well, as a matter of fact I currently do use DVD Shrink. I also used to use DVDFab Decrypter to decrypt most of my DVD's, I accidently removed DVDFab Decrypter from my computer and had to download the new version.
The new version was DVDFab Express, and when I tried to decrypt DVD's with it, it made the same AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS files. But DVDShrink was no longer able to recognize the files and would not proceed to shrink it. The DVD I mentioned is Memoirs of a Geisha, I'm not sure if others are having similar problems as me. Please Help, Thanks.
