erm i dont know where u live and iv u have an equivalent but here in the uk theres a shop called "Game" that sells umd cleaning and scratch repair device. try having a look on ebay or just the net in general

how did you scratch your umd? its in a case. Unless you poked you finger into the gap and starting pretending to be dj? If its the case thats scratched then it doesnt matter but if its the actual disc i recommend a cotton ball
push the ball into the gap make sure you hold onto it while pushing it, then spin the disc in the middle (GREY bit) with your finger. I do it for dust and dirt for scratches you might need a little bit of liquid solution.

I don't know if you know of a magazine called "Maxim"... (most ppl do) anyway, that mag is very trustworthy - they said to put toothpaste on the scratch (as long as it's not too big of a scratch) and let the toothpaste dry, then use a t-shirt or something soft to buff it out...
