I want to make a backup,i have swap magic. And a ps2 slim. I have dvd decrpter. But i was wondering if i need this so called flip top case thing or slide tool. I was wondering since my ps2 slime has the flip top(if thats what it means). I dont need anything but swap magic.

You need a thing called a magickey, which lets you open the lid without the ps2 knowing it. Or you could try the "tape and tissue" mod which achieves the same result , i think theres a guide here writen by ace_2.

hi,
since you have the slim ps2 you already have a fliptop
so you dont buy a nother fliptop.
a slide tool is for the "big ps2" to open the disk tray w/o the ps2 knowing its open [basicly not pushing the button to open the tray]

you will need to buy magickey or simpily make them your self

That's not true, the cover on the slim PS2 is different from a fliptop
