junjun2,
Welcome to the forum. Try using the "Rip DVD-Video to Hard Disk" option in the Taskbar on the lower right. Right click the Fox head and proceed from there. If it fails again then you probably have a disk that is scratched or a bad Mastering Press and you will need to return for exchange

Have you tried DVDFAB Decrypter as that might be the only other program that can rip the DVD to HD? If it does it w/ DVDFAB Decrypter also then it probably is a bad mastering press and it might affect all of the disks that were produced. Clean the disk real well before you try it this time.

I'm having the same problem with the first disc. Stops at 24% as well. First it was 34% then someone suggested AnyDVD and I got that and now it stops at 24%. First DVD out of A LOT that I have had any problems with.

DVDFab cant run at same time as AnyDVD. I'd right click the "red fox" /and uncheck autostart. Restart your machine and try DVDFab. Either that or if using AnyDVD, run DVD Decrypter in file mode rip.
I've seen some movies that can't be ripped by AnyDVD (it will decrypt the protection, but not read all the bad cells) "the easy way" and actually have to use a combo of programs. When that happened I ran it through VOBBlanker after the Decrypter to file mode and was able to use Shrink after all that.

i have backed up this season(2 disks), and i think all i used to rip it to HDD was good old DVD Decrypter and then shrink to process. i don't think i had to run it thru vobblanker but if u get errors while using shrink then u should run it thru vobblanker.
@steve what were u using first when it stopped at 34%?

What exactly is the error message?
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

You can try the new program RipIt4Me, which will import a PSL file into the old DVD Decrypter and then rip and another program FixVTS will clean up your file and you can then use Shrink to compress and burn with whatever program you use. Here is a guide/examples and software.

I've had certain titles that AnyDVD wouldn't rip so I used the tried and true method of DVD Decrypter File mode rip (w/AnyDVD on), run the file through VobBlanker, then the encoder/transcoder of choice.
I havent tried Arniebears program he has linked, but I havent needed to with AnyDVD open. Decrypter is my 3rd choice personally if the first 2 methods dont work, but I havent needed more than that in a long time.
