if games you downloaded didnt work then its user error not the fault of Swap Magic, and as for slow loading its coz your ps2 doesnt like the brand of media your using so getting a chip wont help fix it. Get some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatem and reburn your games i bet they will work loads better than your current copys.

the thing is, i have verbatim media 8x DVD-R ... the swap magic won't read it, it just comes up as a blank screen ... the downloaded games come as many files then i extract them into an ISO and now i don't know how to burn them correctly i guess ... i used DVD Decrypter and selected the ISO b/c there was no MDS file like this ( http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/298323 ) said and i burned it at 4x speed then tried to get it to work with swap magic and it woudn't ... its an EA game Fight Night Round 3 and I patched it b/c of the EA games don't work that great or won't work at all if u don't patch so i did that and it still wouldn't load ... just a black screen BUT i used DVD Decrypter to ISO-Read a Original PS2 game and I did ISO-Write the MDS file and it worked ... i just don't get it

teammodders.com does a great job. He is on the west coast.
Unless a guy there with the scren name of Teammodder will do it for you, he is on the east coast. But the main guy is on the west coast and he does an awesome job. It would cost about $15 to ship it each way.

Although i hate Swap Magic with a passion, it does work for all DVD5 games I had tried when i used it. Try not patching the game and see if it works. If you did not patch the original copy then i would not patch the one you downloaded as the ISO for both should be the same thing.

i checked that out and i like the site ... very cheap installation ... not like others that charge $60+ shipping ... $35+ shipping is resonable ... i was wondering though do u know a cheaper place to buy the DMS4 Pro SE chip and is that the best out at this time ... thanks

No most sites charge around the same which is like $50 for a DMS4 Pro
It is one of the best around right now. Especially if you plan on adding a hard drive to the system, it has many features geared towards that. The Matrix Inifinity would be a close second, and from what i have heard the new Crystal Chip V1.1 is really good.
It will auto patch back ups for online play if you installed the hacked firmware that is out.
depends on what you want to do. if all you want is to play back up, not with the online play, then any of those would work.
I would still choose the DMS4 Pro myself.

Teammodders did my premodded Xbox
and installed a laser and DMS4 Pro into my old V5/6, which i "donated" to a friend.
they do great work and i have not had a problem from either one.
Next the are doing my slimline V12 with DMS4 Pro
I am getting it put in a HD Combo case so they can install a 250GB hard drive too. then it will look like the fat model and have the internal hard drive an 2 cooling fans. Can't Wait till payday to send it off to them.
