Cd-r problem - need help

HI, i'm a noob here. And I need some help regarding to cd-r.

I've some collection of video that I burnt in cd-r, and am using some brand recommended by my friend, which is my10s brand. The problem is most of my disc upper layer is peeled off. And I wrote the title on some dics and the ink smudge on it in the long term.

I've checked my dics the one that is not so badly peeled off stil can be watched, but the one that is badly peeled of is a total goner. I've stored all my discs in boxes.

Can anyone englighten me with this?
