ive been burning movies for awhile now using DVD Decrypter ver.3.5.4.0
and dvd shrinks with no problem untill now since they changed the copy pretection on the movies i was doing some research and found out about the PSL2 plugin and the PgcEdit plus VobBlanker . my problem is after the psl2 plug in does its thing the first time around and decrypter does its thing pgcedit cant seem to open the saved movie is there something im over looking can someone please try and walk me through it thanks .im tring to make a copy of when a stranger calls

This may not be the answer you're looking for, but it's the only one I have :).

I could very well be wrong, but I think the PSL2 plugin and PcgEdit do basically the same thing as VobBlanker. I suggest you keep VobBlanker, get rid of the other 2 and go here:


http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm


and grab a copy of the free DVD Fab Decrypter. Using DVDFab and VobBlanker to remove encryption and structural problems, Shrink to reauthor and DVD Decrypter to burn works very well for me.

Fab and VOB,,simple.......

well i tried that method the movie seemed to burn ok but then close to the end of the movie it froze up and wouldnt play any further any other ideas sorry ive been away from my computer for the past few days or so tring to get a house done .

A couple of things to look for:

1. Use quality media (a no-brainer)
2. You may be burning too close to the outside edge of your media. In Shrink, go to Edit->Preferences, set Target DVD Size to "Custom" and use about 4350MB.
3. Don't burn any faster than 1/2 the rated speed of your media.
