My HD Advance has been working perfectly. All of a sudden I load up the HD advance disc and it says "HD Advance does not recognize the hardware". I'm assuming this is talking about the network adapter. So I kept adjusting the network adapter and it still didnt work. So used my friends network adapter and it was still saying the same thing. Any suggestions?

Maybe your hard drive got screwed up, try putting in a different one and see if it persists.

Yes if you tried switching the Network Adapter and still have a problem, it is most likely the hard drive. Did you install anything recently that may have messed up the formatting?

No. I have not even put a new game on it in like 2 months.

Are you able to format it or does it just go to this error and can't continue?
Also, make sure it is set as a master (I think this is what it needs to be set as).

On the back of the IDE hard drive there are three different area's:
one for the ide cable (the big one)
one for the power (4 big metal prongs)
and in-between them there should be a little black thing that connects two pins together.
Written on the hard drive there should be a pin position diagram that tells you what two pins must be connected to set it to different settings such as slave or, in our case, master.
