New to DVD±R, have a few questions.

I recently bought a computer, that has a DVD±RW drive. I was told to download 2 programs, DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.

My questions are this:

1. What does DVD Shrink do?
2. What does DVD Decrypter do?
3. Which program do I use first?
4. Do these programs work in conjunction with one another?
5. When I have opened a disc in DVD Shrink, where does the movie and special features save to on my hard drive?
6. Do I need these 2 programs?
7. After I have completed all that is needed with these programs, would I be able to burn the movie and bonus features to a DVD±RW or DVD±R, using Roxio burning software, which has the ability to burn DVD's?

Any help would be really nice. Thanks.

DaXtreme,
This was answered in another of your threads and it is not nice to double post. That said here are your answers.

1. Compresses the DVD-9 to DVD-5
2. Removes the encryption although you would be better off using DVDFAB Decrypter (Free). DVDDecrypter has closed down and there will be no more updates

3. You will rip w/ DVDFAB Decrypter then Shrink and then you will use Shrink to compress. Depending on how you do it you can use DVDDecrypter to automatically burn the files. All of the programs mentioned are free. Below is a guide:

4. You start DVDFab Decrypter and rip to HD. Then you use Shrink

5. Saves the files where ever you want it to

6. You can use these programs as they are free but you can use other programs

7. You can use Roxio but most on the forum do not like it.
