Hey everyone, Ever since I started my back-ups I've used + media.
On the Double layer I get stuttering, blocking on my home player at the layer break. I know that the laser has to re-focus but my player usually attempts to play for around 10 seconds then just skips to the next chapter.
My question is: Has anyone had this and switched to -DL media (or vice versa) and there are no problems.
I don't want to have to buy any - disks if it'll just do the same thing. I'll just keep using the +.

Most likely the programs you used for those Dl backups. Some programs have problems with the layerbreak-like nero6.

What programs you using,and how?

What's the brand name of those +DL discs?

many pre-2004 standalone dvd players have trouble with dual layer media. therefore it is suggested you booktype the dvd to dvd-rom.
