Hello. Iam living in australia. I am having a little trouble with my ps2 chip (From memory, I believe its a Blue Chip, but I cant find the reciept to confirm that). Basically what Im using is Verbatim DVD+R disks, and burning via the DVD Decrypt method.

I had not used my PS2 in a while, and then I rented Driver 4 the other week. I was playing that for 4 days straight, but I couldnt get the burnt version to work. So i found my old GTA SA disk and now that doesnt work. Burnt versions of Smackdown vs Raw & SD vs R 2006 DO work. I tried Manhunt, and that worked, then I tried GTA SA again, it didnt work, but then I put ManHunt back in, and now it doesnt work.

From reading other threads, im gathering this is a problem with the laser or the chip? It just seems strange to me Manhunt would work, then 5 minutes later not.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

i dont have a chip but i have the crappy laser v12 ... but it wasn't the laser ... its that its dirty ... go here and it shows you how to clean it
