I/O device error

I have been using DVD Shrink for a couple months and has worked flawlessly. Just recently I have been getting a
" Copy protection error"
"the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error"

Is there anything you can think of that would be causing this error.

You are probably running across ARccOS copy protection which Shrink cannot handle. Try ripping the movie with DVDFab Decrypter or install AnyDVD.

This is a common problem. Shrink cannot handle the newer copy protections and can give you all sorts of problems.

Mentioning the movie you are trying to copy would be helpful.

Try Shrinking a movie that worked before. If that still works then the problem is with the new movie.
