Using toshiba laptop to back up cidar house rules. After dvd shrinks completesunder , i open dvd decrypt. It does not automatically detect movie like it does on my desktop. The window opens where i have to browse in decrypt. Shrink put it o c drive so i do the following:local drive c>folder cider house rules>folder video_ts.
It is here where I am confused, in the window under file name, it is blank. Under that it has files of type-all supported files.

I have been leaving the file name blank, then clicking o open but nothing happens.
Am I suppose to put something in the file name, when the file already exist and located?
Please advise. Also this laptop makes me crazy as it rarely takes my finger touch commands. Hubby has no problem with it...there must be some secret in the heavens for those who have the touch. I miss my mouse..does this tapping touch type stuff get easier?
Thanks

Did you save your output file in iso format, as that is the only thing that Decrypter will burn, it will not open a VIDEO_TS folder. If you want to have Decrypter automatically open after using Shrink then choose iso burn with Decrypter for your output after you hit backup.

This pic shows iso burn with CopytoDVD, but you will find the iso burn with Decrypter in the same box.

As with desktop, i did dvd decrypt: mode filef, edit select all, destination, decrypt
Then shrink encodes but i think it did not preset it on laptop as with desktop (i preset suggestions as listed on the forum) and it worked fine with decrypt automatically detecting movie on desktop.

After downloading today, I should have reviewed and applied those suggestions as i did with desktop.
Your input pointed me in the right direction...thanks.
For now I downloaded 21 day trial of an of any/clone to stay on track
