generally about $50 for the chip and depending on where you send it $35-$50 for it to be installed. Plus shipping of course.
DO NOT just go out and buy the cheapest chip you can find, do your research first.
DMS4 Pro SE is one of the best, and is the best if you ever plan to add a hard drive on.
Matrix Infinity is another great chip but beware of some sites as they may sell clone chips and not the real thing.
Crystal Chip V1.1 is also a good chip, probably the best one if you intend to do a lot of online gaming. Because they have a hcked firmware out on the net that you can flash the chip with, once you do the chip can auto patch back up discs to play them online. Otherwise you would have to patch the back up copy manually before burning it.

all of these chips have free flash upgrades that will be released
1-2 times a year keeping your chip up to date with new features and fixes.
