Im not that good at digital imagery or anything, all i want to do is something relativly simple, or at least i thought it would be.

There is a frame from a dvd that i need to capture at highest possible quality, so i can email it to somebody to work on it in photoshop to produce album artwork.

I tried the simple way of "print screen" and paste, but it didnt work successfully.

is there a simple program available which i can pause the dvd at the right place and capture that image at full quality resolution and then save it so i can send it on.

it need to be brilliant quality cos album and advertising artwork is goin to be made from the captured image.

thank you in advance for any help!

What program are you using to view the dvd? There should be a snapshot feature somewhere in it. Be glad to help.

Here's what I found in the help file. If you have already read this, sorry. At least we're on the same page. The advanced setting, saving to file, is the way to do it. Multiple images. You can set the pixels too. Hope it helps.

Snapshot
This configuration governs all the capturing settings related to the snapshot function. Refer to Capturing Your Favorite Scenes for more information.

Click on Configuration , select the Player tab, click Advanced..., and then select the Snapshot tab.

The Default Capture Mode provides the same selections as the Capture menu detailed in Capturing Your Favorite Scenes so refer there first.

If you have selected Capture to File, you may elect to change the default file name and directory. Select Browse... to select another folder. After finding a suitable folder, click OK.

Note: PowerDVD will numerically name the captured files automatically. Thus, old captured files will not be replaced with newly captured files.

You may select how you capture your favorite scenes with the options given under the Captured Aspect Ratio section.

To capture the Original video source size, select this option. If the DVD title is NTSC format, the original source will be 720x480. For PAL, the size will be 720x576. This selection will disregard the current window size.

To capture the Current video window size, select this option.

To capture a Custom size, select this option, then enter the size (in pixels) of the image you want to capture.

If you click the Keep aspect ratio option, PowerDVD captures using the aspect ratio of the original video.

yeah ive managed to do all that, but it only takes one picture and saves as file.

even if i pick a new place to save files its just wont capture another screenshot and until ive reset the computer. there got to be something wrong with my install.

thanks for the help, i think im goin to take the dvd to someone else to have it done for me.
